Community engagement
Through our partners in the voluntary and community sector we host ‘community conversations’, to hear and respond to feedback, answer questions, and gather insight from local people.
Community champions and influencers
We work with faith leaders, community champions, healthcare professionals, and other trusted local influencers to help us build confidence and have conversations with the diverse communities of South West London.
Grassroots grants
Grassroots grants provide funds to organise meaningful, respectful and culturally appropriate activity with communities experiencing health inequalities.
Surveys and questionnaires
We carry out surveys to understand more about people’s views and attitudes towards our work and services. These surveys help us understand where we need to focus some of our other activity and explore issues in more detail.
Focus groups and one-to-one interviews
We organise focus groups and one to one interviews (for those who can’t access the internet) to help inform improvements to local services.
Insight and engagement analysis
To help inform our priorities and our plans for working with local people, we have reviewed over 100 engagement reports from NHS, Healthwatch, local authority and community and voluntary organisations in South West London. This has helped us to develop a truer snap-shot of local insight.

People and communities engagement group
Our people and communities engagement group review the engagement work we do in each of our six places to make sure that we are fulfilling our duties to involve local people, and that how we plan and deliver health and care services is influenced by the local people and communities in Croydon, Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth.
